Most Mondays are lived in a bit of a fog. My work may not always be too difficult but I still feel it on Monday. Today was no exception. It's late at night but I cannot be sure my motor ever really got going. The one thing I try to do on Monday is to normal again. Being that way means taking out the trash and other mundane chores. It means going for a run and exercising. All of this is therapy from the weekend.

This weekend called for a little more recovery to break free of the fog. On Friday night my record as the "filmer" for high school football went to 100-32. This is my eleventh year to film games for coaches to watch. I didn't volunteer when it all began. A coach drafted me for a practice game and never let me stop. My career covers three schools and now two state championships. This is just something I've enjoyed doing. It really is one of the few things that take me away from the usual routine of life. The chances are that my Friday nights will be busy for seven more weeks hopefully.

Yesterday my church honored me in a sense with an appreciation day. It was a terrific day highlighted with a church wide lunch. They were gracious in sharing a gift with me for which I am thankful. It is now seven years since our moving van unloaded us here. The times can be described as difficult yet also meaningful. I often think about writing a book but I cannot imagine where to even begin.

Perhaps the fog will be gone tomorrow. One can only hope. It will be time to dig in for another week. If this week can have some of the positives of the past week then it will be good enough for me.
